gRANDVIEW pROJECT
Whole-home remodel for a short term rental.
Project Overview
Grandview was a full remodel of a Scottsdale home, converted into a short term rental: demo to fully staged in six weeks. The owner and design firm were both out of state, and managed everything remotely through our project board with daily photos and weekly updates.
Demo: Cleared the full house. Flooring out in every room, garage emptied, all haul-off handled by our crew.
Framing: Custom framing throughout, including an enclosure built around the garage water heater and the structural work for the theater platform.
Electrical: New subpanel, new circuits, and recessed lighting installed throughout the house, all completed before finishes went in.
Flooring: New flooring wall to wall, including the staircase, with new baseboard through the whole house.
Painting: Every wall, every ceiling, and every piece of trim in the house.
Wallpaper: Eight papered walls, six of them custom murals printed to size for the exact wall they hang on.
Theater room conversion: A raised platform built for a second row of seating, acoustic panels set on laser lines, and the room finished as a dedicated theater.
Garage to game room conversion: Water heater enclosed, slab prepped and coated, and the garage finished as a usable game room with a pool table.
Assembly & staging: Every piece of furniture arrived in a box. We unpacked, built, placed, and hauled out the cardboard, handing over a fully staged, rent-ready home.
"Austin and Al and their crew did an job amazing on a property we designed in Scottsdale. They were professional, detail oriented, and on time reaching milestone commitments! Some of the tasks they completed included new flooring, painted cabinets, wallpaper, accent walls and full install and execution of our design plans. We have designed over 300 properties and have worked with many contractors and installers and they are top notch! Would recommend!"

"We hired Spur Cross Construction for a whole-home remodel of our short-term rental property in Scottsdale, and we couldn't be happier with the results!
Since we live out of state, the entire project had to be managed remotely. Austin and Al made the whole process incredibly smooth, organized, and stress-free. They were great at communicating, keeping us updated on progress, and making sure everything stayed on track. Best of all, the project was completed on schedule!
The quality of the work was fantastic. Some of our favorite parts of the remodel are the theater room, the garage game room, and all the finishing touches throughout the house. The wallpaper and flooring turned out beautifully, and everything came together exactly how we envisioned it.
Austin and Al were a pleasure to work with, and it was reassuring knowing our property was in good hands even though we couldn't be there in person. We'd absolutely recommend Spur Cross Construction to anyone looking for a reliable contractor, especially if you're managing a renovation from out of state!"
