ABOUT US
Who we are
Spur Cross Construction is family-run: me, Austin, and my brother Al. We specialize in whole-home remodels, kitchens and baths, theater and game rooms, and outdoor living projects. We're based in Cave Creek and work across Scottsdale, North Phoenix, and the North Valley. We grew up around this work: our grandpa built houses and taught building for a living, and our dad did the same. Our goal on every project is simple: great work, and a great process to go with it.

AUstin
I'm Austin. I handle estimates, permits, and project management, and I'm the one behind our website and Instagram. Before Spur Cross, my job was building project management systems for construction companies, so every job we run here runs on those same systems. Off the clock it's my wife, our kids, and jiu jitsu, which I picked up overseas and have trained and taught everywhere since.
Al
I'm Al, head of field operations and the craftsman of the family. Carpentry, framing, and finish work are mine, and if something custom got built on one of our jobs, I probably built it. Outside of work I camp, I hunt, and I just became a dad.
How We Got Started
Our grandpa built houses in Huntington, Indiana. Later in life he became a shop teacher, and he got bored in the classroom, so he found a way to teach the trade the way he'd learned it: by building. He took his students out and built real houses with them. Planned them, framed them, finished them, sold them.
We learned from him and from our dad: how to work hard, why quality matters, and what it means to stand behind the things you build. That's what we bring into this business. We're not here for a quick buck. We care about the work, and it shows in the houses.
